Of course, you can also explore the Kühlung by bike all the way to the Baltic Sea resort of Kühlungsborn. To the north, the Große Wohld (Large Forest) and Conventer Lake (a nature reserve) -- where rare bird species nest in the reed beds -- are ideal for a peaceful stroll or hike.
